La ministra per Mairi McAllan, responsabile per la politica Net-Zero, ha infatti ammesso che l’obiettivo di ridurre le emissioni di gas serra del 75 per cento entro il 2030 rispetto ai livelli del 1990 è “fuori portata”. McAllan ha inoltre affermato che il governo scozzese introdurrà un nuovo pacchetto legislativo di misure per il clima cercando di sostenere il proprio impegno verso l'obiettivo di raggiungere le zero emissioni nette entro il 2045.

However, analysts are positive on the stock now. “We have seen a huge downside movement in the stock due to the central electricity regulatory commission’s (CERC) order that seems to be negative from 2014-15 onwards but we cannot take a linear negative view on the stock and further downside movement on the stock is unlikely. Currently stock is underpriced. Investors can bet on it for a longer horizon," said Vivek Gupta, director research at CapitalVia Global Research.
